Aspen Music Festival
The Aspen Music Festival takes place in Aspen, Colorado for roughly 2 months starting late June and ending late August. The are half-sessions that are typically only a month long. The participants are required to pay for housing, transportation, and tuition totaling an estimate of $8,260. However, there are heavy scholarship and work opportunities to help provide financial assistance.The festival contains opportunities for students to utilize such as weekly masterclasses covering chamber music, percussion, and orchestral repertire, music-related courses taught by the festival staff, and various student chamber ensembles to perform in. The faculty comes from many prestigious symphonies throughout the country.
There are three application deadlines; early (around October 1st), middle (around December 1st), and late (around January 2nd). The application fee is dependent on the date submitted with $25 being the price for early submission, $60, and $125 respectively.
