Halloween Childrenâ€™s Concert

Itâ€™s creepy, crawly and so much fun itâ€™s spooky! Your little ghost or goblin will help haunt our new location, the AISD Performing Arts Center, for the Austin Symphonyâ€™s annual Halloween Childrenâ€™s Concert. This exciting concert features frightfully fun symphonic music that is stimulating for young eyes and ears (ages 2â€“10). The entire family is invited to dress up in their favorite costume and enjoy â€œboo-tifulâ€ music with their Austin Symphony Orchestra!

This seasonâ€™s featured piece will be the always popular piece Peter and the Wolf, â€œa â€˜symphonic fairy tale for childrenâ€™, is a musical composition written by Sergei Prokofiev in 1936. The narrator tells a childrenâ€™s story, while the orchestra illustrates it. It is Prokofievâ€™s most frequently performed work, and one of the most frequently performed works in the entire classical repertoire. It has been recorded many times.â€ -Wikipedia
